Looking for a photographer (on a budget)?

I want to find a photographer who will take pictures of the purses I make. My budget would be anywhere from $5 - $10 per picture and I have about 40 items in stock.

Post an ad on craigslist.com and I bet there%26#039;s someone in your area willing to do it. Just make sure you see a portfolio of their work first to make sure they can take photos of good quality.

I would do it if you were in my area. =) (Grand rapids, MI)

$5x40=$200

If you find a photographer with a light tent or a product photography set up. They should be able to record 40 purses in an hour or two, burn you a CD and be done with it.

Try craigslist or try your yellow pages, if you negotiate $200-300 and take the 40 purses to the photographers studio/set up/house at the agreed time it should be all good.

Reply:To be honest with you, I personally wouldn%26#039;t hire a photographer, even though I am one. My advice to you would be to use a light or a couple lights and fool with the light to get good lighting on the purses, and some to highlight them, use a different types of colour fabrics as a background. Possibly use scarfs on top of your lighting for different hue of colour or to darken the light. Just try different angles, and start snapping the camera. I would use a digital with a large memory card. Then upload the pictures and pick out the ones that looked the best.

Also you can change colour and lighting conditions on most digital cameras by just going on manual.

When it comes to a photographer they know there stuff, but you are the one who has the true vision and know the look you want.

What I recommend is that you do take your own pictures and if you wish they could be better but you do feel that they are somewhat following the vision you have then show them to the photographer you hire to help them better your concept.

I hope this helped
