This isn%26#039;t for a college/university application. It%26#039;s a project for my grade 12 visual arts class. What should the title page of the portfolio look like or include?

Animating in Bryce?

I%26#039;ve been having problems creating simple animations in Bryce 6.0 (I think that%26#039;s the right version). We%26#039;re supposed to be making walk cycles with a humanoid model, but mine always seems to have something go wrong. I follow the directions exactly and set my points of origin, do the linking (from outer limbs inward), set the animation duration, and get started. The directions have us start off with the model in a walking position, so I set up the first frame and hit the %26#039;add keyframe%26#039; button, I make the rest of the keyframes, making sure to save and add the keyframes and such, but everytime I hit play, all of my work boils down to something stupid like the foot rotating and nothing else moving, or only one part going through the frames I set up. Or, my favorite, a body part completely disappears. I have no idea what I%26#039;m doing wrong, considering I%26#039;ve done everything the same with this humanoid as I did with the one I used to get help from my teacher with and that one worked fine. Advice?

I have seen a picture of Jesus which is an old masters I believe. It is famous because it isn%26#039;t beautiful, actually The image is ugly. I think it is related to the Isaiah passage saying, %26quot;he has no comeliness to attract us to him.%26quot;

In my opinion, yes. You have to know the basic principles of design in order to make websites and all the designs. You have to know what your client may want and be able to know how to arrange stuff properly. Sure its super important to know the technical part, but it%26#039;s always nice to be able to paint. Your pictures would be 100 times better if you incorporate some shading. To my eyes, your pictures seem to be just pictures--not something that can seemingly jump to life at any second. Shading would make them appear 3-dimensional, and it adds more life to them.





With the first and second pictures, a little shine in their eyes would make them less dead. A small white circle in the upper left part of each eye should do the trick.





And very nice third picture (but needs shading)!





But keep it up, you%26#039;re doing great!

Reply:Listen to Aiofd S. She is 100 % correct. What%26#039;s great is that you did take so much care in doing these drawings. The line quality is good and it is apparent that you love to draw, and that%26#039;s the most wonderful part of seeing your drawings. But do take art classes that teaches fundamentals, and draw from life as Aiofd S has recommended.
Reply:You have a good style and off to a good start. Just work on the proportions and shading.





For example measure how long the arm is suppose to be compared to something else if your drawing is from another drawing. There%26#039;s some basic rules for proportions that are altered slightly for anime, but still work. The length from the shoulder from the elbow is usually the same length as from the elbow to the wrist. The hand is usually close to the length of the head. Once you have a measurement down you can run off of it from there. Usually there%26#039;s one eye length in between the eyes, but I don%26#039;t think that matters in anime drawing. The eyes in anime are usually farthure apart.





For the shading you have the middle color now you just need the lightest lights and the darkest darks to give it form.





Once you do all that you%26#039;ll see new life to your drawings. :) You%26#039;re off to a really good start! Figuring out your own style can usually take pretty long, so it%26#039;s good you already have that. Keep drawing!!! Nice job so far!

So, there is a story about this painter, who saw another artist%26#039;s work, and there was nothing wrong with the painting, but the artist insisted it was gloomy and weird, but no one believed him, and he went crazy or something, then, they found out that under the real painting, the original artist had used an old canvas, and in the center of the painting, under the real painting was the casket of a little boy.

Hey okay i have a picture I made of a cool pumpkin design and I copied it and then i grayscaled. I want to make outlines of the pumpkin itself, the eyes, and mouth only so basically I want it to look like a coloring book picture. (Or since it%26#039;s a jack o lantern think of drawing the pumpkin outline, the eyes, and the mouth, that%26#039;s what i want it to look like so i can get it printed onto a shirt) how do i do this? and I don%26#039;t know how layers work, if you could help with that as well. Oh and I need to make the outlines darker to. I%26#039;ve seen how people use layers to just color stuff in but on the final picture you can%26#039;t see it

Haha. Okay, you want to make a real basic drawing of a pumpkin from that picture you made, right? There%26#039;s a bunch of ways, so I%26#039;ll pick what I would do:





Use the %26#039;marquee%26#039; tool that looks like a lasso (top left of the toolbar) to trace around the part of the image you want to select. Now you should see your pumpkin with a dotted line around the edge.





Copy/paste that part by doing Edit%26gt;%26gt;Copy, then Edit%26gt;%26gt;Paste. You just created a new layer that only has that pumpkin that you selected in it. Hide the other layer now by clicking on the eye next to the layer. There%26#039;s a %26#039;Layers%26#039; window on the right, if not go Window%26gt;%26gt;Layers.





In the menu bar at top of screen, go to (might be different in PS 7.0) Layers%26gt;%26gt;Layer style%26gt;%26gt;Stroke . This will put a outline around all of the edges of the layer. Make it thicker/thinner in the Stroke window (default is 3px i think). So if you erase one of the triangle eyes of the pumpkin on this layer, you%26#039;ll see that outline appear around the erased area. You can make straight line selections by clicking and holding on that lasso button in the toolbar and selecting the line marquee instead of the lasso marquee. To use this line marquee tool, click on one of the corners of the eye and then move the mouse to another corner of the eye and you%26#039;ll see it making a selection line connecting the 2. Then go to the next corner and then back to the first spot you clicked and it%26#039;ll select that area you just outlined.





Delete the eyes and nose and mouth this way. You should keep seeing Stroke outline appearing around these deleted areas. Once you delete the facial parts, you should see nothing but those Stroke outlines around the border of the pumpkin and around the eyes.





That%26#039;s one way to do it. Hope this helps.

That%26#039;s not what dream catchers I%26#039;ve seen look like. It looks like the same material, possibly, but it has that appendix like a thumb hanging out. And for typical dream catchers the fingers like in that picture are just string, and the palm or circle is much bigger and more intricate.

You could make an abstract piece.Get blue tissue paper, rip the edges and rip it into 5 inch long pieces of paper. Stack the pieces staggering them and add elmers glue to wet them down in layers on your main paper surface, leaving the ripped edges pulledup off of the surface.Use ripped white paper ( in diff shades of white) in 2 inch size sections to suggest the white cap part of waves.The ocean is made up of several colors depending on whether its a sunny summer day or cloudy %26amp; gray.Decide how you will describe it and let that be your guide for the colors that you will choose. Fill the sheet with these soft riped edges of colored paper and you%26#039;ll have lovely modern art piece.

Reply:To be honest with you, I personally wouldn%26#039;t hire a photographer, even though I am one. My advice to you would be to use a light or a couple lights and fool with the light to get good lighting on the purses, and some to highlight them, use a different types of colour fabrics as a background. Possibly use scarfs on top of your lighting for different hue of colour or to darken the light. Just try different angles, and start snapping the camera. I would use a digital with a large memory card. Then upload the pictures and pick out the ones that looked the best.





Also you can change colour and lighting conditions on most digital cameras by just going on manual.





When it comes to a photographer they know there stuff, but you are the one who has the true vision and know the look you want.





What I recommend is that you do take your own pictures and if you wish they could be better but you do feel that they are somewhat following the vision you have then show them to the photographer you hire to help them better your concept.

What anime should Quentin Tarantino write and direct?

Call me a freak but I%26#039;m a HUGE fan of all the Tarantino movies! I understand he%26#039;s big fan of anime but is not able to draw (lol) Even though it may never happen its still fun to think which anime movie he should direct. I would think either Cowboy Bebop or maybe even Paranoia.

I don%26#039;t want to download anything. I see people do it all the time. They have a single picture but have put two seprate pictures side by side. I have photobucket and photoshop express. I just can%26#039;t figure out how to do it??? Help////

i guess in photobucket you would open up one of the pictures copy the other one in and align them in one canvas. make the dimension of the canvas so it fits both pictures in the way you want them then %26quot;flatten image%26quot; and save it as one picture.

You can always just use MSPaint, since it comes with every computer.





Open each of them in a seperate window of paint. Go to Image -%26gt; Attributes. Get the width of each picture and add them together. Open a new MSPaint window, go to Image -Attributes and put in the sum you just found into the width box. Press Ok. Copy each of the pictures and paste them in, move them to each side. Save as a .PNG or .BMP to conserve quality.

Reply:I just open the picture with paint (comes with windows), then i go to image%26gt;attributes and double the width of the page. then copy the 2nd picture you want to add and paste it in the window. Move it to the desired position, save, and there you have it!
Reply:get a Mac and get photoshop. If the pic were somewhere I could download and then uplaod again I would do it for you. It literally takes 15 seconds to do.
Reply:open both pictures in photoshop. look at the dimensions of each by clicking on image %26gt;image size, create a new document with the same height, but add the widths together. use the move tool to drag both images into the mew document, then save the mew document as a jpeg

Practice trying to shoot at the peak of action and not clicking away hoping to get the right shot. Also you want a fast shutter speed. 1/250 of a second or faster will freeze the action and prevent blurring.

What you need is the Nikkor 12-24mm F4 lens ($1,000). If this is to expensive there are 3rd party lenses for about $600 but you are much better off with the Nikkor lens. I am a Canon user so there may be a slightly cheaper model.

I appreciate that she has access to some of the best known celebrities on the planet. That%26#039;s cool. But that is her only talent.

how about - henri cartier bresson, he is just about the best photographer of the 20th century.
